After volunteering for over three decades at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and personally meeting some of these outstanding athletes and observing their way of life, we have created Cowboy Care Coalition, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Cowboy and Cowgirl participants are patriotic, God loving Americans that anyone should be proud to admire or look up to. With a love for the lifestyle, despite the challenges, cowboys are deeply passionate about their way of life. They have a strong connection to the land and the animals they work with. It's important to acknowledge and respect the dedication and hard work that cowboys put into their profession. While they may not enjoy the financial rewards or job security of some other professions, they are driven by a love for their work and a strong sense of tradition and identity. The physical demands and inherent risks make being a professional cowboy a challenging profession.
Cowboys have always played an important role in preserving western cultural heritage...What would the world be without cowboys?
Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and assistance to injured cowboys, helping them navigate the physical, emotional, and financial challenges they face with injury. Our goal is to be a shining light in a dark time for these injured athletes. We are dedicated to promoting their well-being, facilitating their recovery, and empowering them to regain their independence so that they can continue pursuing their passion of rodeo participation. Through our services, we aim to alleviate the burdens of injury, help find resources, and foster a supportive community that uplifts and inspires injured cowboys and cowgirls throughout their journey to healing.
